The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Management Services group designs and
develops the Infrastructure-as-a-Service platform that drives Oracle's
Engineered Systems, Oracle Public Cloud, Oracle PaaS and SaaS
offerings.
As a member of the software group, you will be responsible for designing, developing and unit-testing various modules for Network virtualization in the Nimbula Director Platform. You will take ownership for large software components, work with product management on customer requirements, apply your knowledge to functional design, utilize your programming skills for efficient and robust implementation, and interact with QA, performance and stress testing teams in the whole software development cycle.
Responsibilities:
This role will own and lead software development for major components of the Cloud Infrastructure Management System. Our product roadmap is an incredibly fun ride if you enjoy challenging problems.
You must value simplicity, lightness, and streamlining to be a successful developer for this team.
You must have experience with distributed systems that scale well and have participated on teams that have had a collaborative approach to systems architecture as well a high bar for quality and performance.
You will be expected to learn new programming languages, use different open source solutions and demonstrate the ability to drive innovation against and with standard technical precepts.
Requirements:
8+ years of software development experience with distributed, highly-scalable, multi-node environments.
Demonstrable advanced experience with C, C++ or Java as well as strong experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, shell, etc.
Strong understanding of virtual machine technologies, networking and storage systems.
Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
An ability to demonstrate logical thinking, decisiveness and drive in taking on and completing tasks.

Knowledge of Linux kernel, especially with networking internals
